1960s UNIC Gents Dry Battery Razor Made By Rosse & Affolter

This is a 1960s UNIC Gents Dry Battery Razor Made By Rosse & Affolter. Cigar shaped, the body is made from a cream urea plastic and is in good working condition. The ensemble unscrews to allow access to the battery and shaver mechanism.

The shaver has been throughly cleansed but not sanitised. It turns on via a switch marked UNIC moving horizontally. It comes with its original red paper covered cardboard case.

It was made by Rosse and Affolter, Switzerland. Marked on the base:

Condition:

• The red cardboard case is intact but with surface blemishes/discolouration commensurate with age and storage.
  
• The shaver is in good cosmetic working condition with surface scuffs/marks/blemishes. (The shaver has been stripped and cleaned but not sterilised). There is a hairline crack in the cap of the shaver.

We have cranked this up and found that the cutting head works fine, though it may struggle to give an effective shave with anything other than an overnight growth of beard.

This razor has a great industrial design which has stood the test of time!
